About Me
I graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1971 and immediately went to work for State Federal Savings and Loan as a mortgage loan originator and branch manager until 1975. I then became the Regional Vice- President for Columbus Federal Savings and Loan remaining there until 1978. I then acquired my Nebraska Real Estate salespersons license in 1978 and my Nebraska Real Estate Brokers License in 1981. Since first licensed I’ve been actively engaged in real estate brokerage for a total of 32 years.
I began my real estate career working with my father in Fairbury, Nebraska in 1978 where we owned our own real estate brokerage and construction company. I left Fairbury in 1984 to become the sales manager for Century Real Estate in Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1988 I was offered the opportunity, along with my brother Mike, to purchase Century Realty. I was the President of the company and brother Mike was the broker. We grew the company over 5 years from 28 to 73 agents and then sold the company in 1993 to Home Real Estate of Lincoln. After selling the company I accepted the position of Senior Vice President of Advanced Financial Inc, of Overland Park, Kansas. Advanced Financial was a mortgage banker active in both the business of servicing and originating loans in 19 states. I returned to Lincoln in 1996 to become the sales manager for MJ Marketing Company, then in 2000 I was named First Vice-President of Union Bank & Trust acting as the department head of the mortgage division. I resumed my real estate career in 2005 by accepting the position of sales manager for Thompson Commercial Sales/Coldwell Banker and then in 2005 became the President and Broker of Lincoln First Realty which is now NP Dodge Real Estate, where I remain today.
