There’s a new mini golf lounge in town! From the folks behind Prehistoric Putt and Medieval Putt, The Fat Putter is a brand new miniature golf destination, featuring four distinct 9-hole courses, each with its own design and challenge. Plus, there is an in-house full bar and kitchen serving a variety of flat breads and snacks, plus beer, wine and cocktails! The interior itself is fascinating and colorful, with eclectic and nostalgic sculptures and murals throughout. The Fat Putter is open to all ages during the day, but caters to adults at night, as it is only open for those 21 and over from 6 p.m. to close. Nine holes costs $14 for adults and $10 for children!

Bob & Willie’s Wonderbowl

Bob & Willie’s Wonderbowl is a mini bowling alley, arcade and bar in the heart of the Blackstone District. Here, you can sign up for league play, play arcade games, order drinks at the bar, or simply relax on the outdoor patio. This 21+ hotspot has been such a hit in Omaha and Lincoln that they’re opening a third location at the Regency Landing any day now! Their Blackstone location is walk-in only and there’s a limit of 5 people per lane per hour, with 2 hours max play. Take advantage of half-priced lanes on weekdays from 3–6 p.m. and from 10 p.m.–bar close, on Saturdays after 10 p.m., and all day Sundays!

CTRL is not just your average coffee shop. It is a casual and welcoming place where you can embark on a culinary adventure, socialize with friends, engage in business discussions, or simply indulge in a relaxing moment with a cup of coffee or your favorite drink. But what sets CTRL apart is its fusion of elements that evoke nostalgia and fun — with arcade games and sugary cereal bringing you back to another era. As you step inside, your eyes are drawn to the impressive display of 30 different cereals, inviting you to create your own unique bowl of childhood memories. And if that wasn’t enough, the retro gaming corner beckons, reminding you of those blissful Saturday mornings spent playing video games alongside a steaming cup of coffee. You’ll find a variety of consoles to play from, either solo or with a friend, including Sega, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Pac Man tables, and more — no payment required!

Le Smash Rage Rooms

Had a rough week? Why not take out some of that growing frustration on unassuming household items? Le Smash is a “smash studio” or “rage room” located in Bellevue that lets you spend the afternoon destroying things, from treadmills to computers and bulky furniture to delicate glassware. Locals can donate unused or broken items to Le Smash and have them put to good use — helping you get all your stress and anger out. Click here to book a smash session for your next family gathering, friend hangout, office team-building exercise or date night!

For a relaxing experience, head over to Spielbound where you can grab a cup of coffee and spend the day playing one of their 3,300 board games! At this eclectic cafe, you can play anything from the classic Monopoly to the latest and greatest games that have just been released. You can get a membership to their game library for $18 a month or pay for a one-day pass ($6 Sunday–Thursday or $7 Friday–Saturday), with the proceeds going towards acquiring unique games from all around the world. Once you’ve grabbed your game of choice, order from their menu, which includes mouth-watering pizzas and snacks, plus coffee, soda, craft beer, cider, cocktails, wine and more!

Flying Timber Axe Throwing

Over the past few years, we’ve seen axe-throwing studios opening up all across the country, and that includes Omaha! Here, you can throw axes at several different places across town. One of our favorites is Flying Timber Axe Throwing, a locally owned and operated recreation center with high-tech targets and a local craft beer bar. Their staff is professional and highly trained, staying at the lanes at all times and providing one-on-one instruction the whole time. Plus, they use patent-pending anti-bounce borders and end grain targets to ensure a safe experience for all! And if you get sick of throwing at a bull’s-eye, you can switch to a tic-tac-toe or zombie pattern to keep things more exciting.

Archery Games

If axe throwing isn’t your thing, but you still want to try your hand at a unique sport, try archery games! Think dodgeball with bows and arrows. Archery Games gives two teams the chance to battle it out with bows and foam-tipped arrows in a large arena. The objective? To tag all of the opposing players with arrows and eliminate them from the game. And the best part? There will be no painful marks or bruising from the game! One hour of play time costs $25 per person — book your Archery Games experience here.

Beercade

What goes better with beer than arcade games? Bringing the two together in a cohesive way, Beercade has a full bar with a rotating craft beer menu, plus arcade games and pinball machines. Choose from more than 50 beers on tap and more than 100 whiskeys, then play nostalgic games on the wall opposite the bar. Located in the heart of the artsy Benson neighborhood, Beercade is open to minors accompanied by a legal guardian until 7 p.m., when it turns into a 21+ establishment.
